Workshop Mechanic
Applicant must be literate, polite and punctual, smart in appearance and able to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative. This position is only available to applicants who are team players, enthusiastic, flexible, have a positive attitude and are looking for a long lasting career. This exciting opportunity would be ideal for applicants who enjoy taking a hands on approach in their work, and have a thorough working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of a range of agricultural and horticultural machinery.
Applicant must hold a clean current driving licence. No points on the driving licence would be preferred. Applicant must be experienced in driving a loaded van.
Duties will include; completing written Jobsheets, carrying out repairs, replacing damaged and faulty parts, fitting and carrying out routine servicing and checks, puncture repairs and servicing visits to customers premises. Applicant must have experience of all aspects of repairs, fittings and servicing of light agricultural tractors, mowers and 2 stroke engines, including fitting and servicing hydraulics. Applicant should be able to weld, gas cut, problem solve and diagnose faults. Duties will include all aspects of a mechanical work as well as keeping the workshop area clean and tidy. It is essential applicant is a qualified mechanic. Applicant will work on a wide variety of machinery including tractors, ride-on-mowers and other ground care machinery. We offer full training on main franchise products : Stihl, Kubota, Honda, Husqvarna, etc.
Lots of overtime is available in the busy spring season and a reasonable amount will be expected from the applicant.
Excellent rates of pay for the right candidate. Wages will be negotiable dependant on working background and level of experience.
Hours - Average of 42 hrs/wk, 8AM TO 5PM, Alternate Saturday Mornings 8:00am - 12:00am . Flexibility Required when overtime is requested.

We are looking for staff to work on our parts counter. They need to have a basic understanding of mechanics and be able to use Sage Accounting, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook. They will deal with customer enquiries, parts orders and stock control. They will also deal with customers that come into the showroom. They need to be friendly, approachable and helpful towards customers.
