The new Stihl HSA50 replaces the HSA56. The cutting blade is 5cm longer than the HSA56, and the balance and ergonomics have been improved. The switch on the front handle has also been upgraded.

The HSA50 Stihl Hedgecutter is suitable for medium sized gardens, and green material upto 16cm diameter.
The blades are laser cut, diamond ground and hardened in Germany for long lasting sharpness. This hedgecutter also features a tip protector and patented tear-drop shaped blades that pull and trap small branches between the cutting teeth,
The front handle has been improved on the HSA50. The trigger is an improved design, and easier to hold at a variety of angles.
The HSA50 has improved balance. The position and shape of the rear handle has been optimised to improve balance and working comfort. The optimal balance is when the machine is fitted with an AK10 battery.
There is a battery transport position for safe movement around the garden.
The hedge cutter has a suspension eyelet, to allow the machine to be safety hung in a shed or on a garage wall.
The HSA50 has low weight, low vibration and low noise.
To encourage longevity of the machine use Stihl Superclean to lubricate the blades and prevent resin build up on the blades. Superclean also makes it easy to maintain the hedge trimmer blades.
