If you would like to buy online and collect in store please state this during the order process and in the additional notes box in the checkout process. (Please check stock and availability with us before collecting).
Products ordered will be delivered as soon as possible in accordance with the chosen delivery service. Whilst we will always try to get stocked items out within 1-2 working days of order, during busy periods we ask you to allow 3-4 working days. However it may take longer if products are out of stock. We aim keep you informed of any delays. To offer our customers the best possible value we send light and small packets using 2nd class postage with royal mail and these are usually delivered in 3-4 business days. Larger parcels will be sent by 48 hour courier, or on a pallet.
Please note our courier does offer a Saturday service as standard.
Delivery charges will be calculated by our website and automatically applied to your order during the checkout process, or alternatively quoted by us. Applicable delivery charges will depend upon the delivery method you select, the location of the delivery address, and the size and weight of the products in your order.
Telephone Orders may be chargeable at a higher rate due to the additional processing time. The amount is dependant on the size and location of the order. You will be given a price by your salesman whilst processing your order.
Delivery charges for the UK Mainland exclude the Highlands and Islands
Postage to Non-Mainland UK destinations does incur an increase in delivery cost that reflects an increase in charges incurred to those destinations via courier. Small and light packets that go via Royal Mail are charged the same.
We welcome international orders. Hughie Willett Machinery Ltd ship to the UK and Ireland. If you require international shipping then please contact us for a quote so that we can find the most competitive option to ship your order to you. We will do our best to help with your order, and payment would only be accepted by direct bank transfer for your order.
If you place your order by 2pm we will endeavour to despatch it the same day – subject to stock and availability.
In the event that your order will take longer than this, we will contact you to notify you of the expected delivery date, and you will have the option to cancel if you wish. Orders received during weekends or on Bank Holidays will be processed on the next working day. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been despatched, you will be charged for both delivery and collection cost. If you are unavailable when Royal Mail or the courier tries to deliver your order, they will usually drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.
We will endeavour to pass on your special instructions to the carrier if you may not be in to receive your items (goods to be left with a neighbour or securely in an out building for example) but in these circumstances, we are not responsible for any loss or damage. We do not take any responsibility for the carrier following extra instructions, and are not liable should your instructions to the carrier not be followed.
Hughie Willett Machinery Ltd only deliver goods to the address on the order.
As we are sure you can appreciate there are some items that we stock which are a little non-standard in the way of dimensions. A good example of these are hoes, rakes,etc , which not for want of trying, cannot be shipped through standard methods.
We can of course get oversized items delivered to you although the price varies on an order by order basis dependant on the destination, the size and the weight of the product.
Please be aware if you are ordering a large item that there may be an additional carriage charge. We will of course contact you and confirm that you are happy with the charge before we apply the carriage charge and send the order out.
Receipt and Signature
Deliveries which require a signature must be received in person at the delivery address, and a signature must be provided. Our delivery service provider will notify you in advance of attempting to make a delivery requiring your signature.
Missing or Damaged Items
Any missing items or damaged items will need to be notified to us within 48 hours of delivery date. Please note that ride-on mowers and certain accessories delivered outside the area serviced by our own transport may be subject to carriage charges dependent upon destination.
